“When Nothing Ends”

Sargon

When there’s no one here,
And no one’s near you,
All earth’s life but on your love depends;

So when no one’s there,
And no one’s near you,
Know all earth’s life to naught
For love, I demand it,

All that’s life to naught by love,
God commanding,
When no one’s here,
And nothing ends,

All earth’s life came to naught
By love, AND I DEMAND IT

For no one here,
When nothing ends.

When all corporeal life ends and nothing is left but heaven.
